We will work with individuals, local organisations, local government and other agencies to build successful local communities.

We believe that the best way to achieve this is through a traditional co-operative society. An organisational structure, tried and tested over many decades, co-operatives are widely used by retail societies, housing associations and development trusts.

Where possible, we will arrange for the assets of each participating community to be transferred to the local co-operative. This means local assets will be owned by local people. Added value created during the development process can be ploughed back into the local community by way of such things as new sport and leisure facilities. We will also help to generate funds for other community projects.

With every project, our aim is to deliver the ambitions of communities by harnessing local talent and skills and investing in appropriate business proposals on a not-for-profit basis.
